ABOUT (SSWA)

Somali Social Workers Association (SSWA) is a non-profit professional organization made up of dedicated Somali social workers. The association was established to respond to the growing social challenges facing communities across Somalia and to provide a strong, professional body that supports and represents social work practice.
SSWA aims to strengthen the role of social workers in addressing critical issues such as poverty, displacement, child protection, gender-based challenges, and social injustice. The organization promotes ethical, skilled, and community-centered social work to support vulnerable individuals and foster long-term social development.
